Vocational Training as a Management Assistant in Wholesale and Foreign Trade (m/f/d)
The vocational training is three years long and takes place in a dual system at our company and at the Berufsschule für Außenhandel am Lämmermarkt.
The apprenticeship requires at least an intermediate school-leaving certificate, an interest in business matters, a good command of English and the ability to work in a team.
A complete application should include an individual cover letter, a CV, the last two school reports and, if applicable, internship certificates. In your cover letter, you should explain which apprenticeship you are applying for and why you are interested in it. We would be pleased to read more about your strengths, interests and previous experience.
The selection process takes place in several steps: After you have submitted your application and we have reviewed it, we will first invite you to a telephone interview. We want to get to know you better and clarify your most important questions. This is followed by a more detailed interview. We will talk about your motivation, your previous experience and check together whether the apprenticeship and the team are a good fit for you. Of course, you will always have the opportunity to ask any open questions.
In principle, there is a chance of being taken on after training. We train with the aim of keeping qualified junior staff in the company in the long term.
Your training at our location in Hamburg-Hammerbrook offers you exciting practical insights into all important areas of the company. You will acquire theoretical knowledge at the vocational school at Lämmermarkt. A special highlight for prospective business economists in foreign trade is an approximately 4-week stay abroad in one of our international branches – ideal for gaining initial professional experience in an international environment. There is also the opportunity to acquire a Bachelor of Business Administration in cooperation with the ECBM – European School of Business and Management.
During your apprenticeship, you will get to know all the important areas that are crucial for international trade. You will negotiate with suppliers, plan transportation routes, accompany the processing of orders and ensure careful documentation. This will give you an insight into purchasing, logistics, order management and administration.
